Is it Monday again already????

Far out where did that weekend go?...lol, hope you had a great one too. We spent yesterday over at Margaret River, mainly the Margaret River Chocolate Factory, Mmmmmm, yum, gotta love that place. We are in love with their Hot Chocolates, being winter and all. They use some of their devine chocolate in the bottom of a glass then top in up with hot, frothy milk, OMG we were in heaven. Should have gotten a few photo's but I completely forgot to take my camera in, oh well, maybe a good excuse to go again ;0)

Well I also got to scrap a layout on the weekend too, amazingly, I got it finished in a few hours, this is some form of miracle...lol. I used Sketch #196 from the Pencil Lines site, and all the products are from the latest Studio Calico July kit which is just gorgeous. Another photo of my 2 Ratbags over at Yallingup Beach a month ago. Ok, off to do some very boring bookwork, would much rather be scrapping but, oh, well :) Seeya.

New layouts and favorite new goodies

Well I can't believe I finally have 2 new layouts to share today, the only new layouts I've completed in the last 6 months, that is not good....lol....it's not that I haven't been taking any photo's because I have, it's just that I haven't seemed to be able to get any motivation to scrap like I'm use too, but I think my enthusiasm is coming back. Yay for that :) Both of the layouts feature kits from Studio Calico, the first is using a Grannies Cupboard add-on, from the May kits, love the colours, and I finally got my Glimmermists out and had a little play, so that was fun.

This next layout uses the June kit Partly Sunny again from Studio Calico. I took these photo's of Miss Georgia at the beach a few weeks ago and couldn't wait to scrap them, and I really like how this one turned out, lots of fun colour.

Next up I wanted to share a couple of my favorites so far from all the great CHA sneaks that are bouncing around. Both of these lines are from Crate Paper, and I am so in love with both of them, go check out their fantastic blog for more, plus some really beautiful layouts to inspire. What do you think? Have you seen any new products you just HAVE to have?

This line is called Restoration, and I absolutely think I NEED all of it...lol...and the next one is called School Spirit, which is also just a bit gorgeous. I must say I'm not normally that fussed on school themed lines, but my goodnes I like this one.

Well that's enough dribble from me for today I think :) I have had 2 little sickies over the last 4 days, and my house looks like a bomb went off, so I had better get to some of the boring stuff. See ya !

Just popping in....

on a Sunday night to share a couple more projects I've haven't posted here, the first is a card that I made a few months back for my Brother and Sister-in-laws wedding card. I used my Cuttlebug a few times on this one, I've cut the heart and the book page with the Label 1 Nestabilities, then I've embossed the cream cardstock at the back. I then just glued the vintage buttons to the heart, added a Tattered Angels post card, a rub-on and some string, and that's it, a vintage inspired wedding card :)

And lastly I have a layout for you. I did a little photoshop work on the photo's by adding them to a House of3 digital template and printing them all out together. The rest of the layout is pretty much all Sassafras, including the stamped border along the top, I love the brightness of this layout, the photo's have lots of colour, as well as the papers, but by putting it all a white background I think it all works ok, there is enough white space to carry it. Autumn colour and a layout

Hi there, and happy Thursday. I was just editing a couple of photo's I took last week and thought I would share. The Autumn colour at our place at the moment is just gorgeous, so I snapped a couple of pics of my boys as we were heading back to the house for lunch. Since I took them the trees have almost lost all of there leaves so I'm glad I got some photo's when I did. It's a shame the sun wasn't co-operating for the second shot, but I included it anyway, it's a good shot of the trees :)

And lastly I wanted to share a layout I did at the end of last year and never posted here. The photo is of me when I was just a little girl :) wearing the most luscious knitted dress....ha, ha, and holding onto my Big Ted. The layout features lots of Basic Grey Nook and Pantry papers and some Sassafras paper whimsies (love those!). I've also used my Martha Stewart doily lace border punch to punch all the strips, and the centre of the big flower I have made using lots of Glossy Accents, and the little bits of confetti left from cutting the strips, love the effect, and I didn't have to throw them out...lol. Well, that's about all for the day, I'm off to do a bit more of my mini-album below, so lets hope I have some creative inspiration :) Bye for now.

Blogging return....

Well hello there, after nearly half the year neglecting my blog, I have finally got around to updating and posting again...woo, hoo!!! I have been having a little play with the design of the blog and I'm not quite finished yet, I still want to design a new header, but, I will be back on a more regular basis from now on. I have decided to not only focus my blog on scrapping and card making, but other things that make me happy and inspire me, so expect to see some home design inspiration, design inspiration in general, bits and piece of food stuff, recipes etc... and anything else I feel like sharing with you ;)

So, to start with I have a little peak at a mini-album I'm in the process of finishing at the moment, I'm planning on putting it in my etsy shop when I've finished, that is unless I can't part with it...lol....and also some crochet flower embellishments I've done for the shop also. I have been teaching myself to crochet, and have been having all sorts of fun making these little flowers using up a heap of embroidery thread I've had forever, a leftover from my cross-stitch days. They are so sweet, and perfect for adding to layouts, cards and mini-albums.

Next up, is a card I made last week using some gorgeous new October Afternoon papers, ribbon, a vintage book page and one of my crochet flowers. I cut the shape of the card with my new, and very much loved Tim Holtz die, which I have also used to cut all the pages of the mini-album above. So, I hope you enjoy these little bits and I will be back soon with some more goodies.

Layouts and Chritsmas cards

Hi there. Well, the latest edition of Country Papercrafts newsletter went out yesterday, so I thought I would share with you my creations. The new Designer Kit at CPC was also released yesterday, and it is very delish :) Lots of Basic Grey Nook and Pantry, which I totally adore, and a couple of layouts using the kit and add-on kit are below. First up though are some cute 3x3 inch little gift cards, we were asked to come up with a set of 6, and these are mine. I used all Basic Grey "Eskimo Kisses" papers and stickers, also lots of Kindy Glitz, bling and my Cuttlebug. I love the pink background, and those papers are just so cute :)This layout was done for another designer challenge where we were asked to use Christmas papers, but not Christmas photo's. I've used Collage Press Joy Ride, and Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding and Fruit Cake as my Christmas papers, then added some Joy Ride chip accents. I love these photo's of my little man, having a great time at the sports carnival.
And the last 2 are both done using the CPC Designer kit and Add-on. The kits have lots of gorgeous bits for you to create with.

A Christmas Card.

Just wanted to share a Christmas card I've done for a sketch challenge I found on thePink Persimmon blog. You didn't have to use their stamps, but I was dying to use their Little Red Wagon stamps I purchased from Country Papercraft last week, so this is what I came up with. I've also used the totally gorgeous Collage Press Joy Ride papers, I think this is my most favorite Christmas line this year. I have done some paper piecing with the Pink Persimmonstamps, and I am just about to post a quick tutorial on the Country Papercraft blogto show how I've done the card, so pop on over there if you are interested. Ok, off to scrap some more now.

Well it's Sunday morning, and I thought I'd sit and add another few layouts I've completed recently, they aren't in any particular order, but I hope you enjoy looking :)

This first one I've done using the gorgeous October Designer kit from Country Papercraft, it features some a Collage Press die-cut and loads of yummy Cosmo Cricket Earth Love papers and embellishments, the photo's are of me at around 10 months of age, I was already walking, my poor Mum....lol.
Here I've used lovely bright Sassafras papers, stamps and stickers, some AC Thickers, and a gorgeous Mellissa Francis resin flower thingy, love those.
The title for the next one comes from the fact that my 3 year old can't say "Mowing the lawn", so he actually says "Lawning the Mow", very cute and very funny :) I've used Cosmo Cricket, Jenni Bowlin and Sassafras papers, some Cosmo and Basic Grey chipboard accents, and AC Thickers and Basic Grey alphas.
This next one is a bit of a Hybrid layout. I've done the photo circle using an Ali Edwards overlay which I downloaded from Designer Digitals here, then printed it out on photo paper, and cut out the circle, the rest of the layout is Sassafras and Collage Press papers, Prima flowers and lots of buttons from my stash, oh and some Basic Grey white chip alphas, this came together really quickly because of the digi part, and I love the fresh colours, and sweet photo's of course :)
And finally this is a very heritage layout I've done using the September designer kit from Country Papercrafts. This kit features lot of gorgeous Websters papers, and the photo's are of my DH's Grandparents on their wedding day. A Tween Mini

Wow, back again, 2 posts in 2 days, un-believable :) Just a quick one today, but I just wanted to share a gorgeous bright mini-album I did a little while back for one of my DD's friends 10th birthday present. I have done it so that Emily can add photo's as she goes of her friends, she really loved the album, and the colours are her favorites, now I just have to make one for Georgia, as she was a bit sad that it wasn't for her once I had finished it, but she got over it....lol. Anyway, hope you enjoy checking this one out :) Have a great day.

For the actual album I've used a Basic Grey Milk Chocolate chipboard album, then covered it all with Collage Press Sweet Shoppe papers, the colours of these are delicious. I've also used lots of the die-cut pieces that come with the Sweet Shoppe paper pack, plus cut some of my own with my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities. I've also added lots of some Prima flowers, lots of buttons, kindy glitz and ribbons, Martha Stewart glitter and some stamping.

Worlds worst blogger.

Whoa, I haven't posted anything since July, that is just rediculous...lol...pretty sure I must be up there with the best of the worlds worst bloggers ;) but anyway, I'm back, and I am going to make a pretty good effort at keeping it up. It's not that I haven't been scrapping, I really have, it's just, well....I'm not sure what happened, but the longer I left it the more stuff I was going to have to post and that put me off even more....he, he, he. If you haven't already realised it, I am a MAJOR procrastinator, but....I am trying to curb my procrastinating ways...lol...we'll see how long that lasts :)

Anyway, lots has been going on in this little gorgeous part of Western Australia, lots of scrapping, card making, bringing up children, and everything that goes with that, only seeing DH a few days a month, which we still hate, but hopefully he will only be working away till next year, fingers crossed. My Mum and Dad have moved down this way too, which is wonderful, we are all loving having Nan and Pop close, yay Nan and Pop :)

Anyway, I won't go one any longer, I decided I would post a few of my fav layouts here tonight, and I'll try and post some more over the coming days, plus a few mini albums I've done recently.

This first one uses some yummy Cosmo Cricket and Crate pp, and a Collage Press die cut, as well as an October Afternoon map card, Melissa Frances frame which I've painted, added a Cosmo Cricket image too, then put some Glossy Accent crackle medium over the image to look like cracked glass, I had lots of fun with this one, and I love how it turned out.Another bright one, using Sassafras papers, stamps and borders, also Cosmo Cricket rubons, Martha Stewart border punch, a Collections frame, and a Jenni Bowlin journal card. Very much inspired by Christine Middlecamp's beautifully layered and detailed layouts, she is my all time favorite scrapper, just check out her beautiful blog, and you will see why :)

This next layout is one I did as example for a sketch I provided for the Country Papercraft blog, the sketch is below, and please feel free to have a go. I used mainly Basic Grey Ambrosia papers here, the colours seem to be perfect.

This is one of my all time favorite layout I think, not sure why, but I really love how it turned out. I actually had a real play with some different bits and pieces on this one, but it all seemed to come together. I loved the quote which the lovely Deb from CPC provided for us, and it just seemed to evolve. I've used some Collage Press papers, the tree is a Websters sticker, lo

ts of Grunge for the title and heart, I even got my stamps and embossing powders out.

And finally, another bright one. This one features more gorgeous Cosmo Cricket and crate papers, some House of 3 tickets printed off on cardstock, an October Afternoon card, and some Grunge letters, inked and embossed. Photo editing, layouts & a sketch.

Well it's a bit a large post today, so bear with me...lol. For the last 2 weeks I've been taking Jessica Sprague's free Frame-ups and Special effects class at her website, and had really, really love it. I can't believe the things she's been able to teach us in such a small space of time, it really is amazing. Here are a couple of the photo's I've edited, the first one we had to add a vintage tint to, then do some hand colouring, add a frame and some cute stars, then the second photo, which is my fav. so far, we learnt how to add textures to photos, very cool.

I loved this photo so much I just had to scrap it, so I chose to use it on a layout I did for my last class at the Country Papercraft school of design. For this last class I have shown then how to use recycled items on their layouts, so on this, my sample layout I used tags from clothes, Milk bottle plastic run through the Cuttlebug, bubble wrap stamping and some biscuit packet cradboard, die-cut for letters, it was quite fun seeing what you can recycle, and the girls seem to really embrace it, I'm looking forward to seeing more of their layouts.

All of the next layouts, and the sketch have just gone out yesterday in CPC's July mid newsletter. I provided the sketch, and the designers were to use it in a layout. I also used it to do a card with the Kaiser stuff I had lying on my desk after I had finished the layout, which I must do more often :)

The layout below used the July Designer kit from Country Papercraft, a very boyish kit with all sorts of boy goodness to get your creative juices flowing, I think there are just a few kits left, so if you are interested in purchasing one hop on over to the shop.

Layouts and a goodbye.

Hi there. Well we are back from our gorgeous trip over to the East Coast of Oz, and we had such a great time. One of my brothers got married and we had a blast at their wedding, I'll share a few photo's of the wedding once I get their ok :) Ummm, what else...well it was my birthday on Tuesday, yay another year closer to 40 (Bummer...lol), had a nice day at home with hubby and the kids, Tuesday was also the last day as my stint on the Inspiration team at Inspired Blueprints :( It's been so great to be a part of such a great sketch site, and I'm sure the new team will do a fab job. I'll definitely be hanging out there still as their sketches are always fantastic, thanks for having me girls, I've had a great time. So I thought I would share my last layout for IB, and it was for sketch #24, I've used lots of yummy Cosmo Cricket for this one of my Ratbags at the beach.

The next three layouts have all just gone out yesterday in the July newsletter for Country Papercrafts. The first one uses Pink Paislee papers, and was for a colour challenge.

This next layout had to have a Grandparents theme, and had to be done as a heritage style. I chose to do the layout of my lovely Nan, she died a few years back and I haven't really scrapped much about her, and as she was such a huge part of my life growing up I thought it was a great place to start. I have used some old Basic Grey " Stella Ruby" papers, which I actually bought with Nan in mind as she was a fabulous dressmaker, and these papers had that theme, so I'm really glad I finally used some :)And this last layout is a photo I took on our trip last month. We took the kids to the Tarronga Park Zoo in Sydney, and this is one of the fab. shots I got of their beautiful tiger. I shot the photo through the glass, and I'm really happy with how they turned out, he was just gorgeous. So that's about it for tonight, I'll be back soon with some more stuff to share. *mwah*

Inspired Blueprints stuff...

Hi there, just back to share my latest Inspired Blueprints bits. These 2 are both for Sketch #23, it was my turn to do an 8.5x 11 layout and a card, and this is was I came up with. The layout uses mostly Crate Paper, and the card is Cosmo Cricket papers and Stampendous Spot's Botz stamps, I love these, you can come up with loads of different robots, as the bits are all individual, very cool for boy cards. Anyway that's it for today, I'm off to start packing, we are flying to Sydney on Wednesday for one of my Brothers' wedding on Saturday, should be lots of fun, but yuck, I hate packing.

I've got a bit of time now the kids are in bed, so thought I'd share some more layouts. This first one uses Cosmo Cricket Everafter Sassafras Lass Vintage Yummy papers and embellishments, some Kaiser bling, a Hiedi Swapp bling circle, and Thickers alphas.

This next one was for Inspired Blueprints Sketch #21. I've used Cosmo Cricket and Sassafras papers and embellishments again, I really loved this sketch, it was a bit different with the large photo.
These next 2 have both been for Country Papercraft newsletters over the last month or so, have been wanting to do a layout with these funny photo's of me as a little girl, and I'm really happy with how it turned out, we have to use Black with lime green and salmon pink, I did use a little creative license with the colours.

And this last one was for a cyber crop we did in the Country Papercraft forum for NSD, I love this photo of my Grandad and me, and love how the layout turned out, especially love the Glimmer Chip owl, I filled his belly with orange micro beads and a couple for his eyes.
So that's it for tonight, my DH is on his way home from work, we haven't seen him in 3 weeks so, we are looking forward to him being home for a bit. Hope you have a great weekend. Bye for now. x

I'm Back...

Not that I really went anywhere, just dropped off the blog radar for quite a few weeks....lol. Kept meaning to post, and then kept looking at the amount of layouts I have to share and it all looked too hard :) Anyway, thought I should at least start to pop a few on here, so here we go.

This first layout is for Inspired Blueprints and was for Sketch #22 , Sketch #23 has since been released and I'll share my example for that next week once it's been revealed. I flipped this sketch, and used lots of bright colours to try and bring out the fun in the photo's.

This next layout was for the mid-May newsletter at Country Papercraft, and I really like how it turned out. I had a bit of fun with some blue Glimmer Mist, as you can see, and I had to try out my new Quickutz Damask Die too, LOVE this thing, and have used it a few times already, the papers are Crate Paper Lillian, which are so gorgeous. I also ended up drawing and cutting out the large yellow flower because I didn't have one that suited, I added a bit of Kindy Glitz to the edges and I love the look of it, must do that more often :)

This next layout I did for the CPC Blog, and it was an example for one of my sketches that I did for the blog. I've used the very cute and funky Crate Paper Orbit collection, I just love the aliens they are so cool. Also used half a piece of a Jenni Bowlin die cut. The journalling reads "Whenever we go to the beach you all end up trying to make the BIGGEST sandcastle, or the DEEPEST hole. If Dad had his way we would bring heavy machinery then you really could be digging to China." Thought that might explain the title a bit better...lol.

The layout below is one of my favorites, I did it for the County Papercraft June newsletter, and really love how it turned out, I used Cosmo Cricket Everafter papers, which I LOVE, and punched out lots of flowers to add to others that I had. Also did some stamping on this one with Versamark Watermark ink, and Fancy Pants stamps. The butterflies are a little punched one, and a Cuttlebug one, die-cut with embossed paper.

And the lucky last is a double I created for my Architecture class over at the Country Papercraft Design School. My class started on Monday, and my very clever students have until next Monday to put my class into action and create there own double-layout. I taught them how to use White Space on layouts, and the theme they have to use is "Home". Check out the

CPC gallery there is some fantastic layouts being uploaded.

Lovin' holidays...

I'm one of those Mum's that LOVE school holidays, no bus to catch, no school lunches to make, and 2 happy kids, gotta love that :) Hope you had a lovely Easter, I know we did, we had a really nice brunch on the Sunday with 2 of my brothers, their partners and kids, my Mum and Dad, and my Aunty, lots of yummy food, lots of laughs, and a great egg hunt, I even got some scrapping in too, woo, hoo. The first thing I have to show is the Waterfall Mini-album I made for my Mother-in-Law, with some photo's of the kids, it is really simple to do, but really effective. I got the instructions over at Scrapbook Crazy

All the papers and embellishments I've used are from the April Designer Kit and Add-on over at Country Papercraft, the kit features gorgeous Basic Grey Marakesh papers and loads of other yummy bits. This next layout is also done using this kit.

And finally, this layout I did at the CPC retreat a few weeks ago, I used sketch #11 from

Inspired Blueprints as my inspiration. I've used some Scenic Route, and Cosmo Cricket papers, and I really love the bright feel.

Well, that's it for today, Mum and I are off the cubby (cafe) for morning tea...LOL..apparently there is some yummy food to be had, should be interesting :)

Cuttlebug challenge blog...

Hi there, and Happy Easter. I've just been blog hopping(parden the Easter pun...lol), and came across this cool Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot, and thought I'd share. If you own a Cuttlebug, like me, then you might want to check this out, loads of great prizes and heaps of inspiration by the sounds of it.

Kaiser Acrylic album...

Hi, just a quick post today, but I just wanted to share the clear album I did last weekend at the Country Papercraft retreat. Marg took the class on the Sunday morning, and I have to say that I really love how it turned out...lol. I made it for Georgia, hence the bright and oh so colourful theme, and she REALLY loved it :) It is featured on the CPC blog at the moment, so you can see a few bigger photo's over there. Just wanted to share this totally fantastic video, by the super talented Lisa Hannigan. I really love her music, and love watching this video, and thought you might like a look too, nothing really to do with Scrapping, except that it really makes me want to do lots of pop-ups. The song is from her latest album "Sea Sew", and I think Lisa's brother and another lady are responsible for the books, aren't they just amazing?. LOVE the tune too, enjoy.

Wow, it's Wednesday aleady, and April Fools day, this year is positively flying. First up, you just have to check out the Inspired Blueprints blog, April is Sketch Bonanza Month, which means they will have up 8 sketches this month, very cool. Each of us on the Inspiration Team had to do a layout from which a sketch has been done, and mine is the first up being Sketch #13. The layout you see below is the layout I've done, using Basic Grey and Crate papers, and lots of groovy bits from this months sponsor Gauche Alchemy, we were all lucky enough to have a little parcel of goodies turn up in the mail from them, and had to incorporate them into our layouts for the month. So make sure to check out the Inspired Blueprints blog, there will be bucket loads of sketches and inspiration. I've also been busy with Country Papercraft, and returned from the fantastic retreat that Marg held in the shop on the weekend. I taught a layout and card class and, got a bit of scrapping done of my own as well, it was a really great weekend. These are 2 of the layouts I completed, and they have just gone out in the latest CPC Newsletter, the second one features some of the yummyness from the new April Designer Kit and Add-on, the last few months have sold out within a couple of days, so get on over to the shop and check it out if you are in the need for a gorgeous kit.

Ok, so I've been a very lazy blogger lately, so I thought I'd better get off my behind and do another post. I have been doing quite a bit of scrapping lately, so I'll start off with some of my examples for Inspired Blueprints. This first one is for Sketch #11, I'm sorry for the horrid scan, but I just couldn't get my scanner to play nicely for me, the cardstock is actually off-white and not tinged with blue, but you get the idea. I really love how this one turned out, I think it looks really clean and uncluttered, not like my style normally at all.....lol....plus I just love the look on Will's face in the photo, so cute :)

And this one is for Sketch #12, which has just been released, and is another great sketch if you feel the urge to check it out. Hi again. Another quick post for tonight. I just wanted to share a layout I did today for the Bush Fire appeal fundraiser scrap-a-thon we are having all weekend at Country Papercraft. We are trying to raise some cash for the victims of the terrible Victorian bushfires, so if you feel the need for some new scrapping supplies, pop over to the shop, because Marg is donating 10% of all the sales in the shop over the next few days, and you can also donate if you join in on the scrap-a thon. A really worthy cause. All of us on the design team have posted challenges, and the layout below is for one of mine. You can check out my challenge in the forum here, as well as a sketch challenge I have posted.

The layout is a bit different to what I normally do but I felt a little arty today ;) and thought I would get the paints out. Had a lot of fun doing the background, but then got a bit stuck for a while...lol..but I eventually got there and I think I really like it now. The photo's crack me up, so I guess that helps :) They are of my little guy yesterday, telling his sister and I that he was hoping on the "Stool Bus" with Georgia, it was pretty funny, notice the pj's and all. I can't believe it is still almost 2 years before he can actually go to Kindy, far out he is going to drive me mad before then...LOL.
Just thought I'd also put up another of my sketches if anyone feels the urge to use a sketch. It featured on the CPC blog the other week. Well, that's all for now, hope you all have a great weekend. Bye for now x

Just wanted to share a cool new site I just found while blog hopping, it's called The Scrap Review, and they are having a launch week March 1st - 7th and giving away lots of goodies as well. The site is dedicated to reviewing new products, expensive tools and industry trends, all independent of course. Sounds like a great idea I thought, and could save us all money in the long run, by being able to find out what tools and products are really like before we buy them. I've used Basic Grey Urban Prairie, Making Memories and Pink Paislee papers, a Sassafrass sticker strip, Jenni Bowlin calender card and a ScrapFX chipboard flourish which I cut apart and used the separate parts to make a bigger flourish.

Hi there, and how is your week going so far? We are back to a 3 person house, after my Mum and Dad went back home after another trip to see us, and my DH has flown back up North to work :( But on the plus side it is a little quieter around here, but I'm sure the novelty of that will wear off pretty quick...lol...another plus is that I get to scrap a bit more...yay, gotta love that. Well onto the projects I have to share today. The card and the first layout are both for Inspired Blueprints, both of these are for Sketch #10 which has just been released, go check it out, IB has another awesome prize up for grabs, this months sponsor is Scrapware, and we were all sent a lovely little parcel of goodies that we had to use on this months layout, not too difficult I tell you...lol. I was up this month to do the 8.5x11 and card example, and I am quite happy with how they turned out, I've never done a layout this size before, but it was great fun.

This layout is another Inspired Blueprints layout, this one is for Sketch #9, and again uses the gorgeous Scrapware chipboard.
The layout below is another layout I've done using the February designer kit from Country Papercraft, I also added bits from the Add-on kit for Feb. too, just love the colours of this kit, really pretty.
And finally, this is another CPC layout which I did for the latest newsletter which came out on the weekend, we were asked to do a layout with the title starting with "If only...", and this is what I came up with, "If only you never had to grow up", just looking at these photos reminded me of all the carefree fun you have when you are a kid..ahhh, that was a while ago...lol.
Well, that's about all from me at the moment, except that I wanted to mention that over at Country Papercraft this weekend we are doing a special fundraising cyber-crop to raise money for the victims of the horrendous bushfires that happened in beautiful Victoria just over a week ago. It is such a worthy cause, as so many people have lost their lives to this terrible tragedy, and there are also the thousands of people who have lost their homes and ALL of there worldly possesions, so if you've got some spare time on the weekend, please hop on over to the CPC forum and scrap for a cause. Scrapping goodness.

I have been a very bad blogger lately, I guess life just gets a bit busy sometimes. I have been scrapping, not as much as I would like but I did get to do a few bits over the past few weeks, so I hope you enjoy checking them out. They are all for Country Papercraft, the first 2 layouts were for the February newsletter. This one below is for a red and white challenge, we had to also use ribbon and blossoms. I really love how this one turned out, maybe it's something to do with the fact that I just LOVE this photo of my lot....particularly Toby the dog's priceless expression. I also quite like the cute Heidi Swapp ghost bird which I backed with vintage sheet music, must try that again with some other ghost shapes.

This layout is my first one using the gorgeous February desinger kit and brand new Add-on kits that we are doing from now on at CPC. The Add-ons have all sold out, but I think there are a couple of Designer kits left if you are interested. The photo is the view from our back deck, gotta love a good sunset shot :)
The Recipe card below was for the February recipe swap that the lovely Leonie organised over at the CPC forum, it had to be for preserved or pickled recipes, and this is how mine looked. I finally had a go with my Shrinky Dink paper which I have had for a few months. I stamped the cute little chef, punched him out with a circle punch, put him in the oven and what you end up with is a very groovy little embellishment, well think so anyway...lol. I can't believe how much of the stamped detail shows up even when you shrink it.
I was also involved in the Valentines February ATC swap over at the CPC Forum, and the lovely Leonie organised this one as well, thanks Lone. These little things are really addictive, and I had great fun doing this one.
And then finally, it is my DD Georgia's 9th Birthday on Wednesday, and she is having a party, so I made these for the invites, aren't they cute? They are really easy and fun to do, and you could really do lots of other different shapes other than the one I've done. You simply fold your card in half and score it, then unfold it and lay it out flat, once you have cut out your cupcake(or any other shape you come up with) it is just a matter of sticking pieces down so that the top of the shape sits a little bit over the fold in the card. Once you have it stuck, you then run your knife around the top piece that is sitting over the fold, being careful to only cut to the fold line, then when you fold the card again the shape will sit up above the top of the card, pretty neat? And very simple. Anyway, it must be time for some lunch, so I hope you enojoyed these bits and I will be back later in the week with some more stuff. Bye for now. x

Hello again, I'm back quickly with another Inspired Blueprints layout, this time it's for the January Bonus Sketch that was released today. The bonus sketch is another fantastic one, so go check it out, and while your there, have a look at the gallery, there are some gorgeous layouts happening. For this layout I've used all Sassafras Lass papers, just love their stuff, and I really love the chipboard owl, but I can't think who's he is, anyway, cute all the same. Woops, It's been a bit hectic here lately, and I completely forgot to upload my first layout that I've done for Inspired Blueprints, it is for Sketch #7, I've used lots of Basic Grey Urban Prairie on this one, I loved the sketch, you can use a heap of photos up on the one layout, gotta love that :) Anyway, since I've done this layout, the next sketch has been released, Sketch #8, I will post my example of that very soon, if you are in need of a bit of a mojo boost, then hop on over to the Inspired Blueprints blog and check out all the fantastic inspiration in the gallery, there is also a gorgeous kit from Kraft Girl Kits up for grabs this month. Hi all, and Happy New Year. I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and New Year, I know we did. Very relaxing and just great fun, the kids of course had a great time. We are still all in holiday mode at the moment, which is quite nice. On the scrapping front, I have been doing some layouts for Inspired Blueprints and Country Papercraft, the CPC ones you can see below, the latest newsletter went out last week. I have also done, and posted my first ever card on the Caardvarks challenge blog last night and that is the card below. I love how bright and summery it looks, gotta love those Basic Grey Urban Prairie papers. If you want a great card challenge blog go check Caardvarks out, this month they are giving away a gorgeous Studio Calico kit, yummo!!!

The three layouts below are all for Country Papercraft, the first one being a challenge to scrap about an object, I chose my, very much loved, Kosta Boda bottles, and used some Crate and K & Co papers, some Fancy Pants rub-ons and lots of Gold pen.
Both of these two layouts, featuring both of the boys in my life, are done using the CPC January kit, the first kit I have had a hand in putting together. We have some Basic Grey Granola, and Fancy Pants All Fall papers, plus a Crate paper Die-cut paper. Also lots of Bazzill, gorgeous trim, brads and lots of flowers.

Friday Fun

OK so it's only 6 sleeps till Christmas, where has the time gone, I was going to be so organised, but the time is just flying by, Georgia has finished school for the year, so Will is very happy to have his big sister home, and I have been busy dusting, washing and trying to get ready for Mum and Dad coming to visit, and Christmas Day of course :) So, today I took a little time out at my scrap desk and did a couple of ribbon slider cards, which I just had to try after seeing a tutorial video by Jennifer McGuire over at the Hero Arts blog, you can see the video here.

They are really easy to do, and they are just gorgeous, and a bit different. The first one I did using Basic Grey Urban Praire patterened papers and stamps. In the second photo you can see the card open, I haven't put a sentiment in yet as I'm not sure who I'm going to give them too, but that is where you would write your greeting, aren't they cute?

The second card uses the totally gorgeous Pink Paislee papers from the Pop Fashion range, and the butterfly stamp is again from the Basic Grey urban prairie range, I just love the colours of the Pink Paislee papers Mmmm.

And finally for tonight, I just had to post my two rat-bags in their Christmas Hats, I just love how this photo turned out, I've used some of Ali Edwards digital brushes from

Designer Digitals to jazz this up a bit. Hope you all have a great weekend. x

A bit of Scrapping goodness.

Hi, how is your Monday going? I can't believe it's only 10 sleeps till Christmas, and I am quite unorganised....lol. We are having Christmas here at our house, so I guess I really should work out what we will all be eating, we have ordered the Ham and Turkey, but that is as far as I've got. Oh, well, I'm sure it will all fall into place.

As far as scrapping goes, I have been a little quite as it has taken us a bit to get over the tummy bug that we've all had, but I have just done a few layouts for the December mid-monthly newsletter over at Country Papercraft, which came out today, so I thought I would share. If you're not signed up for the newsletter, just pop over to the CPC Blog and sign up, we put out 2 newsletters a month, and they are always packed with scrapping goodness ;)

This first layout uses some more gorgeous Crate Paper, this time the lovely Prudence collection, I just love the colours of their new lines. We were challenged by one of our lovely gallery/forum members, Kris, to use a dictionary/book page on a layout, so this is what I came up with.

The next layout is for a quote challenge that the lovely Deb (aka:Tassie Deb) from the CPC design team put up once a month, she finds some great quotes to use and it's a great way to kick-start your mojo. I used some BG Figgy Pudding and Fruit Cake on this one.
And finally, we were challenge by the lovely and very funny Julie, to do a double layout, which I really enjoyed, haven't done one for a while. I used Basic Grey Offbeat for this one, I love the orange against the brown.

Christmas Cards

Hi there. I've been a bit quiet the last few days, we've all been sick, yuck....with a tummy virus....need I say more...LOL. Anyway, I just thought I would show you a few Christmas Cards I've made, just have to write in them and send them off...that could be a challenge...lol. I've used a similar design for most of them, but tried my hand at a pop-up card which I really like, and I think I will be doing a few more, they are really easy and great for using up little scraps of paper.

Been scrapping

Just wanted to share a layout I've done today using some more yummy new Crate Paper, this time the Lemongrass range, which I love. I recently found Georgia's 2 cats, Harry and Princess curled up having a fat old time in my shopping basket...lol. Looking pretty comfy in there I'd say. Anyway, as soon as I got my hands on these delicious papers I thought they would be perfect with these photos. I also used some of the glitter accent pieces that come with the kit.

To get the cute owl and branch I used one of my most favorite stamp sets(see below) Basic Grey Grow-a-garden stamps. They are so versatile, as each piece is a little stamp on it's own, so you can create loads of different looks from one set of stamps. They are available at

On a family note, my DH Gary is flying back from work tomorrow, yay....woo,hoo, and...he's home for a whole month, so we are a bit excited about that. He works away 21 days on, 10 days off, so a whole month together will be fantastic. Georgia has loads of things of things she wants to do while her Dad's home so that should keep them busy. Only 1 more sleep...LOL.

Well I got some really exciting news late last night, but had to wait till tonight to post, I have been accepted as part of the new design team over at Inspired Blueprints...Woo, Hoo!!! If you haven't checked the site out, go and have a look they have some really gorgeous sketches for inspiration and some great prizes as well. I will be on the design team from January till April next year, and can't wait to get started, they are a really nice bunch of girls and I think it will be great fun :) The layout below is the one I did for my submission, and I used Sketch #3 as my inspiration. I've used the beautiful new Mia range from Crate paper for this one, and I really love how it turned out.

Late night rambling.

Just a quick post tonight before I head off to bed, I thought I would show you a couple of layouts I've just done for the Country Papercraft December newsletter that went out yesterday. (Check out the forum over at Country Papercraft too, we have a few free classes going for December, lots of Christmas inspired projects) The first is a layout that is all ready for our christmas photo for this year. For mine I've used Basic Grey Fruit Cake papers, which I just loooove, the colours are devine, and the second layout is one where we had to use my sketch #2, and have a summer theme. I've included my sketch as well, if you feel the urge to create...:) For my layout I used Fancy Pants the Daily Grind papers, I love how bright it turned out, very Summery I think. Saturday Bits and Bobs.

Hi there, well it's Saturday, and the day is flying along...lol. I was up late last night finishing my submission for the Designers Call at Inspired Blueprints, and phew, I got it done and.....I actually think I really like this one...lol. I actually ended up doing 2 lo's but wasn't so sure about the first, so did another, the first version is the lo below, I used the #3 sketch over at

Inspired Blueprints for this one. I couldn't help but take this photo of Mr Will a few days ago, he looked so sweet and angelic...ROFL...he's not like that normally :)
The Christmas birdhouses below are made with a template available HERE

by the very talented Nichole Heady of Papertrey Ink. Aren't they cute, and you can really get creative with just the basic template as a start. They would make great little teacher gifts I think. Anyway that's it for today, have a great rest of the weekend. Bye for now x

Hi there, how has your Wednesday been? We've had a gorgeous Spring day here today, not that I got out much, I got stuck into cleaning up my scrapping desk so that I could actually....scrap, now there's an idea. My desk was such a wreck, but it's all good now, so I guess I'll be scrapping tonight...yay!

I am going to have a go at the latest Inspired Blueprints sketch, they are only a new sketch site, but their sketches are awesome, well worth a look. They are also calling for a new design team member, so I thought I might give it a go, you never know.

Well, talking about sketches....I thought I would post one of mine on here, it's my No#1 sketch, I've only done 3 so far, but quite enjoy it . So...if it inspires you, go for it, I would love to see what you do with it (perhaps leave a comment with a link for me). Sunday Stuff.

Ok, So I'm not off to a very good start with regular blog posts, but I've been a tad busy finishing up some pages for the Mid-November newsletter for Country Papercraft, just thought I'd share a few Christmas projects I've been doing and a layout which all went out in the newsletter. Enjoy!

This lo is using the totally devine Basic Grey Offbeat collection, love the colours.
To cut the scallops I folded the cardstock over, then put the largest of my Nestabilites scallop on top so that a small amount of the die was off the edge so that leave a spot for it to hinge if that makes sense???...lol.
This is a card for giving someone a Gift Card/voucher, the idea came from Jennifer Mcguire at the Hero Arts blog, check that blog out for some awesome inspiration. Love the Kaiser bling tree on this one.
Here I've stamped on transperancy and placed that over some gorgeous Kaiser Xmas paper, then placed that behind a square I cut and embossed with a square Nestabilities die.

And finally, I've been saving some of the nicer shopping bags I've gotten over the last few months, and using Basic Grey Figgy Pudding papers and stickers, and lots of Kindy Glitz, I've turned them into very cute Christmas Gift bags, ready to fill with gorgeous Christmas goodies.
